Sustainable Investing: From niche to new normal
With the advance of the new coronavirus pandemic and the chance that future ones are imminent, sustainable investing, including investments in ESG and impact, which were part of a niche, emerged as an essential modality of investment in the financial market. In Europe and the US there has been a considerable increase in the volume of this type of investment. In Brazil, this movement, which has existed for at least a decade, has picked up in the past two years. Financial Return Vs. Sustainability
In a GIIN survey conducted in 2020, nine out of 10 impact investors stated that their portfolios were meeting or exceeding their financial return expectations. ESG investing has grown more in the last four years than in the whole decade. The reason for this acceleration is not only because of the positive impact these investments promote to society and the environment, but also because of their attractive financial returns. ESG and Impact fund managers will share their views and strategies as well as presente their exit cases.
